Your autonomic nervous system is seen as an 'accelerator' and protects your body when stressed by taking action.

By creating stress hormones (adrenaline and cortisol) can keep you performing.

Prolonged stress and overstimulation of the nervous system cause muscles, tendons, joints and nerves to lack oxygen. This results in incorrect breathing, stiffness, back and neck pain.

The control system is not at all adapted to modern society.

What can you expect?

Ademen naar de flanken, buik en onderrug en mobilisatie van de wervelkolom staan centraal in D-Stress yoga.
De houdingen, ademhalingstechnieken and ontspanningsoefeningen worden duidelijk en op een rustig tempo uitgelegd. 

We herstellen de fundamentele bewegingspatronen waarmee we geboren zijn maar dat we verloren zijn met de tijd. 

Met aandacht voor ieders kunnen, zijn de lessen doeltreffend, progressief and toegankelijk voor iedereen. Ik breng afwisseling, sfeer en humor om jezelf comfortabel te voelen. D-Stress yoga beoefen je op jouw manier, jouw ritme en met de ondersteuning die jij nodig hebt.

Telkens staat de les in teken van een actueel thema zoals, mobiele rug, ontgrendel je heupen, het zenuwstelsel…

Je hoeft helemaal niet lenig te zijn of een goede conditie te hebben. 

Het doel is move, werken aan de gezondheid, minder stress te ervaren, je lichaam te ontspannen en een goed gevoel te hebben.

Why are we so stiff?

Most of us lose basic range of motion, such as bending forward and squatting. Once we become adults, we stop playing like a child, but have also lost the functional flexibility needed to squat, lift a child off the ground, cross our legs while sitting on the floor and move freely during your favourite activities. The good news is, you can gain this back!

My name is Nathaly and I am yoga instructor, mobility trainer and breathing companion but before this I was very stiff and if I squatted, I couldn't stand up straight or dizzied. As an office worker, my tension symptoms worsened, but I was determined to find a solution.

I discovered yoga and what it did to me. I also learnt that mere poses were not enough and began to study anatomy, stress reduction, breathing, connective tissue and nerves. 

I discovered that 50% of stiffness is due to our nervous system and not muscles and that postures usually demonstrate flexibility than develop it.
I chose my life purpose to help people with this and support them with my experience. I am therefore happy to share this with you.

Blissful yoga classes in an open casual atmosphere. Lots of variety in exercises. Lots of variety in the classes in terms of breathing techniques and emphasis on certain body parts or muscle groups.
